No Bail For Men Charged With Hate Crime Beating At Western Mass Liquor Store: DA
Two men were ordered held without bail after they were arrested for the vicious beating of a Franklin County liquor store employee earlier this month, authorities said. Warren Martinez, 30, of Northampton, and Thomas Patnode, 24, of Greenfield, face several felonies including mayhem and a hate crime following the July 16 attack, the Northwestern District Attorney said. Wanted Man Threatens To Kill Springfield Police Officers During Bust
A 25-year-old man wanted on gun and heroin trafficking charges made this worse for himself when police went to arrest him early Friday morning, June 28, after he threatened to kill the officers, authorities said. Kenen Monsanto-Maldona, of Westfield, was arrested on several felonies just before 1:30 a.m. at a hookah bar in Springfield, police said. Wanted Boston Woman Poured Beer On Bus Driver, Tried To Make Meal Out Of Officer
A 24-year-old woman decided to share her beer with a bus driver by pouring it over his head before she bolted late Tuesday night, July 20, Transit Police said. When police tried to arrest her later, she spat on them and tried to bite one of the officers, a report noted. Shatia Butler hopped on an MBTA bus with a friend around 10 p.m., but near the intersection of Columbia Road and Washington Street, she attacked then dumped the drink of the driver, police said.
