Search For Fugitive Northeast Killer Now 'Nationwide' Manhunt, Police Say
Danelo Cavalcante has somehow slipped by the hundreds of law enforcement officers in Pennsylvania and neighboring states searching for him in the Longwood Gardens, and though authorities believe he is still in Pennsylvania, they are now describing the search as a "nationwide" manhunt. Wanted Brazilian Murderer Found Hiding In Worcester: ICE
A 50-year-old Brazilian man who'd been convicted in his home country of murder was arrested this week hiding in Worcester, federal authorities said. Jaconias Rosa Pereira faces 15 years in prison once he's returned to Brazil, Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said. A court convicted him in August 2022, immigration officials said. Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing Two Children In Fairfield County
A man who allegedly sexually assaulted two young girls over the course of several years in Fairfield County is in custody after attempting to flee the country, police said. On Nov. 11, 2019, the Danbury Police Department received a complaint involving the sexual abuse of a 12-year-old girl, which led to 33-year-old Juan Perez-Barbahona being identified as a suspect. ICE Removes Man In Boston Convicted For Northern Ireland Police Station Bombing
An Irish national who was convicted of bombing a Northern Irish police station was recently captured by ICE in Boston. Darcy Gearoid McMenamin, is a member of the Irish Republican Army, according to a statement by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Based on past convictions for terrorism and violence, McMenamin was removed from the U.S. after an immigration judge denied his request to stay here.
