‘Just Take Me To Jail’: Drunk Driver From Central Mass Caught Going Wrong Way On I-395 In CT A Massachusetts man was arrested after admitting to driving drunk while on the wrong side of I-395 in Connecticut without his headlights, authorities said.  Loren Jones, 62, of Worcester, was stopped shortly before 2 a.m. Monday, June 2, and charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs and driving the wrong way on a divided highway, Connecticut State Police said. Teens Flee After Crashing Stolen Central Mass Car Off I-395 In CT; Police Dogs Track Them Down Two Massachusetts teenagers were arrested after a stolen car crashed off I-395 in Connecticut, and they ran into the woods, Connecticut State Police said. It happened on the northbound Exit 37 off-ramp in Killingly. Police say a car hit a guardrail, then slammed into a sign before sliding off the road and down an embankment. A 911 caller told police three people ran from the wreck and into the woods. When troopers got to the scene, they found the car about 20 yards off the road. Griswold Crash Leaves Massachusetts Trucker Dead A 42-year-old Middlesex County, Massachusetts, man died after crashing his truck down an embankment along I-395 in Connecticut. Tim Murray, of Ashby, crashed his Freightliner truck in Griswold, New London County between Exit 24 and 28 around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8 Construction had closed the southbound right-hand lane of the highway. As Murray merged into the left lane, his 2019 Freightliner hit a guardrail. Murray corrected the truck but not before striking another section of the guardrail.  The truck tumbled down an embankment. Authorities pronounced Murray dead at the scene.…

IDs Released For Duo Killed In Wrong-Way Crash On Central Mass Route: Police Authorities have identified the two people killed in a wrong-way crash on a major route in Central Massachusetts as Susan Celauro, age 63, of East Norwich, NY and Alexander Owanisian, 35, of Southbridge, MA.  State Troopers responded to the three-vehicle crash on Route 20 at Carroll Hill Road in Charlton just before 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, Massachusetts State Police report. The Wait Is Over: MA Highway Exit Numbers Changing In October It's been a long time coming, but exit numbers on Massachusetts' highways are set to change in October. Announced a year ago, the plan to get Massachusetts’ highways in-line with the federal exit numbering strategy - a “milepost-based system” - will soon be visible to motorists, WCVB reports. Massachusetts Department of Transportation has created an interactive map - newmassexits.com - showing the new highway exit numbers. Rollover Closes Section of I-395 Northbound Rollover Closes Section of I-395 Northbound
Rollover Closes Section of I-395 Northbound A portion of I-395, northbound, near Exit 3 in Webster has been closed early this morning, July 16.  State Police report a rollover accident is the cause of the traffic snarls. The area is predicted to reopen around 10 a.m., according to the Massachusetts State Police live traffic map.  As of 9 a.m., highway traffic was slowed to a crawl by Exit 3 and on the nearby Cudworth Road.
