Money Meant For Abuse Victims Stolen From Springfield YWCA By 3 Employees: Police
Three employees of the YWCA in Springfield are accused of stealing more than $28,000 in grant money meant to help victims of physical and sexual assault and human trafficking. They planned to use it for personal expenses, police said. Aisha Pizarro, who was the administrator of the funds, and her two employees, Sharifa Forbes and Patricia Medina, are accused of taking the money, Springfield police said. Arlington police say they did not racially profile a black man who officers stopped last year when they were pursuing a white man. A Connecticut man who had a “sex dungeon” and attempted to pay for "limitless" sex with a child has been sentenced to nearly 29 years in federal prison. Simon Hessler, 48, formerly of Ellington, has been sentenced to nearly 29 years in federal prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release over child exploration offenses.
