A Springfield man out on bail for heroin and cocaine offenses was arrested again Wednesday, Aug. 10, on drug, robbery, and stalking charges, authorities said.
Paul Vargas, 29, was busted after police recognized his car as one that had been spotted for months in a stalking investigation in Indian Orchard, Springfield police said.
Officers pulled over Vargas's car in the 100 block of Seymour Street just after 6:30 p.m.

Police and federal agents raided a home in Holyoke earlier this week to bust a man suspected of trafficking heroin and found a stockpile of drugs, cash, and an unlicensed gun, authorities said.
Angel Carrasquillo, 32, faces several charges following the Wednesday, Feb. 15, search of his home, including heroin trafficking — 200 grams or more, unlicensed possession of a firearm, having an assault rifle without a license, and other drug offenses, Holyoke police said in a Facebook post.

Man Charged After Cops Seize 1,500 Bags Of Heroin, $250K In Cash In Springfield
A Western Massachusetts man has been arrested after allegedly being caught with 1,500 bags of heroin and more than $250,000 in cash.
Hampden County resident Alvaro Flores, age 61, of Holyoke was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 26 following a multi-agency investigation that led to a search warrant of his home, said Ryan Walsh, spokesman for the Springfield Police.
During the search agents seized more than 1500 bags of heroin and a loaded firearm, Walsh said.
An additional search warrant led detectives to a safety deposit box where an additional $257,000 in cash was seized, Walsh said.

An investigation into a domestic disturbance involving a man with a previous weapons conviction in Western Massachusetts led to the seizure of more than 12,000 bags of heroin and a loaded handgun, authorities announced.
Officers in Hampden County from the Springfield Police Department responded to an apartment on Locust Street at approximately noon on Sunday, July 25, where there was a reported disturbance.

Following a months-long investigation by a task force, a Western Mass man was busted during a search of his residence for allegedly trafficking in heroin.
Donivan Brooks, age 28, was the target of the investigation led by the Massachusetts State Police, along with the Holyoke Police, and numerous other agencies.

A Western Mass man who has been out on bail for trafficking in heroin has been busted again, police said.
Jorge Diaz, age 64, of Springfield, was arrested on Tuesday, May 11, by Springfield Police after he was nabbed with 2,8000 bags of heroin, cocaine, and more than $8,000 in cash, said the Springfield Police.
On Wednesday, May 12, police seized an additional $40,6000 from Diaz's safety deposit box with a warrant, police said.
