Mass Firefighter, Father Of 2, Dies After Suffering Heart Attack While Responding To Call The Brockton Fire Department has lost one of its own.  Firefighter Jeffrey Albanese, a 24-year veteran with the department, husband, and father of two died on Saturday, Dec. 21, authorities said on Sunday.  Albanese suffered a heart attack while responding to a call on Dec. 9. Fellow firefighters resuscitated him and rushed him to Signature Brockton Hospital. Body Of Western Mass US Airman Returns Home; How To Take Part In Honor Procession The body of a Berkshire County-born US Airman killed in Japan will return home on Friday, Dec. 15, and the community has planned a public funeral procession to honor his sacrifice.  Staff Sgt. Jacob Galliher, age 24, of Pittsfield, died when the Osprey he was in crashed near the island of Yakushima, Japan, on Nov. 29 during a training exercise.
