Malfunctioning Generator Sets House On Fire A malfunctioning generator set a house on fire Wednesday, Aug. 5. Fire crews battled a Brimfield housefire that left extensive damage to the exterior of the building as well as inside the residence, Brimfield firefighters said. The two-story home on Dunhamtown Road is believed to have caught fire due to a malfunctioning generator and “not refueling,” firefighters said.
