School District In Region Increases Security After Apparent National Threat
Following social media threats, there will additional police presence at a school district in the region. The posts were shared in Western Massachusetts from another municipality in another state, according to the Springfield Police Department. The individuals who shared them locally are the subject of a criminal investigation, said the Springfield Police. Shooting Spree Seriously Injures Two In Springfield
Following an uptick in shootings in Springfield, officials are calling in the state police to help quell, what they say is gang violence. The latest shootings took place on Friday, March 26, in which two people were shot on Quincy Street in Springfield, according to Springfield Police Spokesman Ryan Walsh.
