Donations are pouring in for two children who have lost both their parents from a murder/suicide on Cape Cod this week.
Luiz Castro Jr., age 44, fatally stabbed his wife Aline De Castro, age 38, before hanging himself at their Hyannis home in the early morning hours of Friday, Sept. 2, the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office said.
The incident placed the couple's two sons, Leonardo and Igor, in the custody of the Department of Children and Families. A GoFundMe has since been created to support the boys, ages 7 and 11, as well as cover the cost of Aline's funeral.

CT School Staffers Accused Of Failing To Report Abuse
Employees of a Connecticut school have been arrested on charges of failure to report abuse by a teacher.
The incident, which included the arrest of the alleged abuser in January, took place in Litchfield County at the Plymouth Center School in Plymouth.
Sherri Turner, age 59, of Farmington, was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 23, and Melissa Morelli, age 45, of Plymouth, was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 24.
Both were charged with failure to report abuse, neglect, or injury of a child or imminent risk of serious harm to a child, according to the Plymouth Police Department.

A police officer in the Dominican Republic is being held without bail after he was charged with murdering his wife in their Massachusetts apartment while their four children were home, the Eagle Tribune reports.
Junior Solis Garcia, age 39, was charged in connection with the stabbing death of his wife, Mariel Ramos De Los Santos, age 30, on Thursday, June 23, Lawrence Police said on Facebook.

Dispute Over Dog Leads To Shooting Deaths Of Man, Woman In CT Neighborhood, Police Say
A dispute between neighbors over a dog led to a deadly shooting that left two Connecticut residents dead and another in critical condition.
The incident took place in Hartford around 9 p.m., Sunday, June 19 at 67 Franklin Ave.
According to Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin, Christina Dang, age 27, and Chase Eugene Garrett, age 39, were killed, who spoke about the incident at a press conference Monday, June 20.

Mother And Six Children Missing - Police, DCF Seek The Public's Help
A mother and her six children have gone missing and the police are seeking the public’s help to locate the family.
On Friday, Nov. 20, at 10:30 a.m., Springfield Police issued an alert for Christamarie Derby, 33, and her six children.
The children are believed to be with Derby in the Springfield or Chicopee area. Both the Springfield Police and the Department of Children and Families is seeking Derby. DCF has not heard from her since Tuesday, Nov. 17.

A repeat sex-offender who ran away to Mexico with his girlfriend and three children has been captured.
Lester B. Joy, 40, formerly of Waterbury, waived his right to be indicted and pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court, Bridgeport, on Tuesday, Nov. 3, to failing to register as a sex offender, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Connecticut.
