Breakthrough COVID-19 infections had led to the deaths of 100 vaccinated people in Massachusetts through the end of July, according to the state Department of Health. With the more transmissible Delta variant of the COVID-19 virus continuing to spread, more breakthrough infections are being reported, though they still represent a cross-section of the state’s population.
