Two Killed After SUV Hits Deer In New England Two people were killed on when their SUV hit a deer on a busy roadway in Massachusetts. The incident took place in Middlesex County on I-495 in Chelmsford around 4:50 a.m., Friday, June 3. When troopers arrived on the scene they discovered a 2016 Nissan Rogue driven by a 53-year-old Acton man in a stand of trees in the median, said Trooper Brandon Doherty.  The man and his passenger were determined to be dead on the scene, Doherty said. SUV Crashes Into Tree After Driver Swerves To Avoid Deer In Hampden County, Police Say A driver is expected to be okay after hitting a tree head-on after swerving to avoid hitting a deer in Western Massachusetts. The crash took place in Hampden County around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, in the Town of Goshen. That's when Goshen firefighters, Massachusetts State Police, and Highland Ambulance personnel were called to the area of 620 East Street for a report of a car into a tree.
