Federal investigators said a former anesthesiologist fellow at Boston Children's Hospital traded child pornography on a messaging app to get access to other videos and photos of children as young as infants being sexually abused by adults. New York Man Busted Driving To See Western Mass Child He Met Online: DA
A 62-year-old New York man was arrested on Thursday, May 30, in Berkshire County as he was on his way to meet a teenager he was speaking with online, authorities said. David Stypa was charged with two counts of disseminating obscene material to a minor and attempting to commit a crime, the Berkshire County District Attorney's Office said. Aaron Cabrera Was Killed In The May 21 Shooting
Police have identified the man who was killed in a shooting earlier this month in Springfield. Aaron Cabrera, 30, of Ludlow, was shot around around 10 p.m. on May 21 in the 0-100 block of Fort Pleasant Avenue, Springfield police said. Police were alerted to the fatal shooting after receiving a ShotSpotter alert. They found Cabrera bleeding from a wound, and paramedics rushed him to Baystate Medical Center, where he died of his injuries, police said. Investigators are still searching for the shooter. A 44-year-old Berkshire County man who admitted to 23 charges including raping two 15-year-old girls was sentenced to 10 to 12 years in prison this week, authorities said. A driver who crashed into a Worcester County home earlier this week had been shot before the crash, authorities said. 'The Grief Is Indescribable': Family Of Slain Central Mass 14-Year-Old Asks For Help
The family of a 14-year-old boy who was shot and killed late last week is asking for help to pay for his funeral. Sterling Baptiste Jr. was shot and killed on Friday, April 26, in the Belmont neighborhood of Worcester. Police were called around 4:15 p.m. and found the boy bleeding from a gunshot wound inside an apartment. Despite their attempts to save his life, paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
