Another sell-or-be-banned TikTok legislation is working its way up to the Senate. The House passed the sell-or-be-banned bill for the app (360-58) on Saturday, April 20 as part of a larger foreign aid package for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, giving Chinese TikTok owner ByteDance up to a year to sell the app. Otherwise, TikTok will be subject to a nationwide ban. ‘To New Heights’: $60M Awarded For Albany Airport Fixes Including More Seating, 'Calming Room'
Work is underway on a massive improvement project at Albany International Airport aimed at providing a better experience for travelers. Gov. Kathy Hochul was at the airport Thursday, Aug. 10, to announce the awarding of $60 million in state funds that will go toward modernizing entranceways, expanding the security area, and adding more seating and concessions areas, among other improvements. Justice Stephen Breyer To Retire, Allowing Biden To Make First Pick For Supreme Court
Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer announced that he will retire at the end of his current term, paving the way for President Joe Biden to handpick his replacement. The 83-year-old liberal judge is the oldest member of the court, having been nominated by former President Bill Clinton and taking his seat in 1994 alongside the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
