If it seems like just about everything has an app these days, you can add Pizza Hut's iconic summer reading program to the list. Pizza Hut has launched its first BOOK IT! app, the restaurant chain said in a news release on Tuesday, May 27. The new app comes days before the summer reading program officially starts on Sunday, June 1. These Retired Crayola Colors Are Back After Decades: Here's How To Get Them
Crayola is reviving eight long-lost crayon colors for a limited time, marking the first time in its 122-year history that it has brought back retired shades. After years of fan requests, Crayola announced on Wednesday, Feb. 5 that it will sell a special edition set of retired colors. The eight-count pack will be available throughout 2025 at most national retailers, along with matching colored pencils and markers. Former Boston Educator Sentenced For Sexually Abusing Child With Disabilities
A former Boston Public Schools employee was sentenced to 12 to 15 years in prison for sexually abusing a child with developmental disabilities, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said. Jose Melendez, age 55, was previously convicted four counts of aggravated rape of a child and one count of aggravated assault and battery on a child on May 31, the office reports. The counts stem from his time as a paraprofessional at Mario Umana Academy in East Boston, during which he abused a male student from 2015 to 2016.
