Mass Pediatrician Sexually Assaulted 2 Patients Into Their Teen Years: Court Records Richard Kauff, a retired pediatrician in Norwell, has been accused by former patients of sexually assaulting them for years during their physical examinations, records show.  Two women came forward after one of them shared their experiences in a Facebook group called “Mamas of the South Shore,” according to court records filed with the Hingham District Court. They said Kauff would inappropriately and painfully penetrate them with his fingers during annual checkups in the 90s. Maura Murray was a 21-year-old UMass Amherst nursing student in 2004 when she went missing minutes after crashing her car off Route 112 in Haverhill, New Hampshire. Investigators said that Murray was last seen on surveillance footage on the day of her disappearance on Feb. 9, 2004, at an ATM machine wearing dark jeans and a jacket, prompting the FBI to create a Violent Criminal Apprehension Profile for her near the 18th anniversary of her going missing. …

Cold Case: Body Exhumed In Relation To Missing 10-Year-Old Girl Law enforcement officials exhumed a body this week as part of a cold case investigation into a missing 10-year-old girl. Holly Piirainen, 10, of Grafton, was killed in the summer fo 1993. She was kidnapped from Sturbridge on Aug. 5 while visiting her grandparents. Police said her remains were discovered in Brimfield by two hunters in about two months after her death. It is not clear whose body was exhumed in Sturbridge sometime during the week of Sept.
