Daniel Medina, 49, was found bleeding from a stab wound inside his home on Euclid Avenue early in the morning of Thursday, July 27, Springfield police said. He died of his injuries before responders could get him to doctors.
Police arrested Robert Woods, 63, of Springfield, and charged him with murder, Springfield police said.
Officials are holding Woods without bail. He will return to court on Aug. 24.
Investigators have not provided a motive for the attack.
