Over 25K Bags Of Heroin Taken From Convicted Western MA Drug Lord: Police

Three people from Western Massachusetts, including a convicted drug lord, were arrested after more than 25,000 bags of heroin and other drugs were taken from their home last week.

Multiple law enforcement agencies raided Luis Rosado's apartment on Commonwealth Avenue in Springfield on Thursday, Oct 27 following a lengthy investigation, Springfield Police report.

Inside they found 25,511 bags of heroin (510 grams) 49.5 grams of crack-cocaine and 42.5 grams of powder cocaine, all trafficking weight, police said. 

Rosado along with two other occupants of the house, Blanca Diaz and Kianeshly Rolon Diaz, also of Springfield, were arrested. 

Rosado was out on bail for a drug trafficking case stemming from a September 2021 arrest in Springfield, police said. He also has prior convictions of firearm possession and conspiracy to distribute cocaine in Connecticut, police added. 

All three individuals were charged with the following: 

  • Trafficking in Cocaine 36-100 Grams (Two counts) 
  • Trafficking in Heroin More than 200 Grams
  • Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law
