Moved Up To Most Wanted: Stakes Raised For Western Mass Homicide Suspect

Police have escalated their attempts to locate the man wanted for a homicide in Holyoke, officials say.

Evdyeke Oniel Pabon Flores, a 21-year-old man wanted for the December 7, 2022 murder of 49-year-old Luis Ramos, was added to a list of most wanted fugitives on Thursday, April 6 by Massachusetts State Police.

A state-wide alert was issued warning the public of Flores on Wednesday, March 29. Police warn that no one should approach Flores, who is considered armed and dangerous.

An active straight warrant, with full extradition, has been issued for Flores in relation to Ramos's death.

On December 7, 2022, police officers received reports of gunshots in the area of Pine and Sargeant Streets in Holyoke and arrived to find two empty vehicles that appeared to have involved in a crash and spent shell casings. They soon located Ramos, lying face down in the backyard of a nearby property, suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.

Ramos was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

An investigation later determined that Ramos was the gunman and fired more than 10 shots at Ramos

Flores is still at large and police believe him to be actively attempting to evade capture.

The wanted man, who has ties to the greater Springfield area, is described as a Hispanic male standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes and a tattoo on his left forearm that says "As I Walk Through the Valley," and a tattoo of the word “Oleanni” on his left ear.

He has also used the aliases Evdyelle Flores and Abdyle Pabon, police say.

Police ask anyone who sees Flores or who has information about him should call 911 or the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section at 1-800-KAPTURE (1-800-527-8873). If seen, Flores should not be approached.
