Fatal Shooting: Police ID 39-Year-Old Springfield Man Killed Over Weekend In Western Mass

The Hampden County District Attorney's Office has released the identity of one of the two people shot and killed over the weekend in Springfield.

Felipe Dejesus, 39, of Springfield, was shot on the 100 block of Spring Street around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 24., authorities said.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation and found Dejesus bleeding out from a bullet wound. Responders rushed him to Baystate Medical Center, but doctors could not save his life.

Springfield police are asking the public for information on the shooting. Tips can be called into the detectives' bureau at 413-787-6355.
