Lynn Man Dies After Apartment Fire; Marks State's 40th Fire Fatality Of Year A Massachusetts man who was severely injured in an apartment fire over the weekend has died, authorities said. The man, a Lynn resident in his 40s, was found unconscious on the third floor of a six-family apartment building at 104-106 Lewis St. around 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, the State Fire Marshal's Office said. The man's name has not been released. Crews contained the fire to a single room and extinguished it in about an hour. Lynn firefighters performed CPR on the man at the scene, and paramedics rushed him to Salem Hospital. Doctors later transferred him to Brigham and Women’s…

Teen From Region Killed After Crashing Car Into Tree A 19-year-old Connecticut woman was killed over the weekend after she crashed into a tree in Hartford County, authorities announced. Tolland County resident Makayla Theriaque, of Vernon, was identified as the victim in a Sunday evening, Aug. 25, crash in Manchester, police said.  Officers were called to 233 Buckland Hills Drive for reports of a car crashing into a tree, Manchester police said.  Paramedics rushed Theriaque, who was behind the wheel, to an area hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.  Manchester police are investigating the crash. 50-Year-Old Mansfield Man ID'd As Victim In Fatal Wrentham Crash Police have identified the 50-year-old man who was killed in a Route 1 crash in Wrentham late last week.  Jose Ocasio, of Mansfield, was critically wounded when he made an abrupt U-turn in his 2014 Mercedes CLA from the center lane and was T-boned by a pick-up truck in the left lane, police said.  Firefighters had to cut Ocasio out of his sedan so paramedics could rush him to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, where doctors pronounced him dead.
