34-Year-Old Woman Dies After Jumping From Apartment Building Roof In Tarrytown A 34-year-old woman died at a hospital after jumping from an apartment building's roof near the Hudson River in the region. The incident happened in Westchester County on Wednesday, Nov. 13, when the Brooklyn resident jumped from the roof of the Franklin Towers apartment complex at 50 White St. in Tarrytown, according to Tarrytown Police. Warning Issued After Sex Offender Found Frequenting Rye Public Library A police department in Westchester is advising residents to be on high alert after a sex offender convicted of rape was found to be frequenting a public library in the county. Rubber Snake Inside Package Prompts Police Response In Armonk Officers were called to a Northern Westchester home after a resident discovered what he thought was a snake inside a package.
