Child Killed After Tree Crashes Onto Elementary School Playground In Melrose, Others Hurt
A child who was injured along with others when a tree fell on a Massachusetts elementary school playground has died, authorities said. The child, another juvenile, and an adult were hurt Monday, May 4, when a tree suddenly toppled outside Winthrop Elementary School in Melrose, firefighters said. A Greenwich woman will serve time in federal prison after prosecutors say she helped carry out a long-running scheme with her brother that drained more than $1.2 million from state treasuries across the country.
