Hebron Woman, 64, In Critical Condition Following Rollover Crash A 64-year-old Connecticut woman is fighting for her life after she was involved in a rollover crash earlier this week, authorities said.  The Amston woman was driving south on Gilead Street in Hebron just before 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, when she crossed a double yellow line on a left-hand curve, putting her in the path of an oncoming Ford E-350, state police said. Police ID 20-Year-Old Killed When Car Crashes Into Bridge Abutment, Injuring 2 Others Police in Connecticut have identified the 20-year-old man who was killed early Valentine's Day when his car crashed into a bridge abutment.  Jose Leonel Garcia Garcia, of Meriden, died of his injuries after his 2007 Honda Accord collided with the bridge on South Colony Road around 1:45 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, Meriden Police said.  Paramedics rushed him to an area hospital, but doctors were unable to save his life. Southington Woman Hospitalized After Being Hit By Car While Walking Along Road A 32-year-old woman remains hospitalized in Connecticut a day after a car hit her as she was walking along a road, authorities said. The woman was struck around 9:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, on West Street near Jude Lane in Southington, police said. She was walking in the southbound lane in front of the Metro Gas Station at the time of the crash. Cat Abandoned In Meriden Snow Bank Dies; Authorities Searching For Owner Animal control authorities in Connecticut are asking the public for information about the owners of a cat found abandoned in a carrier and left to die in the snow over the weekend. A couple spotted the cat carrier on Evansville Avenue in Meriden around 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, authorities said. They were horrified to find a cat inside and called animal control for help. Meriden Animal Control officers rushed the cat to a local veterinarian's office, where she was given emergency IVs, antibiotics, and heat treatment. Sadly, it was too late. She died overnight. Rail Service Resumes After Train Hits Tree In Wilton Two Metro-North trains were temporarily taken offline on Monday, Feb. 17, after striking trees.  The first was reported just after 7:30 a.m. in Wilton, Metro-North said in a social media post. None of the 70 people on board were injured, and rail authorities moved all passengers to buses to complete their trips. Service has since returned to normal. Police ID Middletown Man Found Dead Inside Burning Car In Crowell Police have identified the 67-year-old man who was found dead inside a burning vehicle over the weekend.  Roger Dailey, of Middletown, was located inside the vehicle at Riverport Park in Cromwell on Sunday, Feb. 16, police said.  Multiple people called 911 to report the blaze off River Road. Firefighters didn't find Dailey's body until they had put out the blaze, Cromwell police said.  It's unclear what sparked the blaze. The Office of Chief Medical Examiner has ruled the death accidental.
