Brand-new rankings listing the richest municipality in each state reveal just that. Stacker said it used the most recent Census Bureau American Community Survey Five-Year Data (as of August 2024) to calculate its rankings. "The 'richest town' can look quite different from state to state, with some being far wealthier than others," Stacker said.
