During his time writing for newspapers, magazines, and online publications, he’s covered everything from murderers to mommy bloggers, but his most interesting story is always the next one.

Darren Rizzi, who has served as the Saints special teams coach since 2022, was named interim head coach on Monday, Nov. 4, after the team fired Head Coach Dennis Allen. Motorcyclist Killed In Multi-Car Crash In New London A 45-year-old man was killed during the weekend when he was involved in a three-vehicle crash in New London County, authorities said. Curtis Barkdull, of Sturgis, South Dakota, was riding a motorcycle near Colman and Vauxhall Streets in New London around 4:45 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, when he and two sedans crashed, authorities said. 3 Pulled From Long Island Sound Off Milford After Boat Sinks; 1 In Critical Condition Three people were pulled from Long Island Sound after the boat they were on sank on Monday, Nov. 4, authorities said. All were taken to an area hospital for treatment with one person in critical condition. Cromwell Town Official Charged With Sexual Assault; Placed On Paid Administrative Leave A public health coordinator for a town in Middlesex County turned himself over to police on charges of sexual assault, authorities announced on Monday, Nov. 4. Salvatore Nesci, 55, is charged with sexual assault in the fourth degree and disorderly conduct, Cromwell Police said. He was arrested on Halloween after he turned himself over to police. A trust allows the winner to remain anonymous. $100K Lottery Jackpot: Ticket Sold In North Haven One lucky Nutmegger won $100,000 after correctly guessing all five numbers in the Connecticut Lottery's Cash5 game. The ticket was sold at In & Out Market located at 88 Quinnipiac Avenue in North Haven for the Wednesday, Oct. 30, drawing. The winning numbers were: 1-5-10-27-34. The store will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. In all, 2,964 people won something in that drawing. Man Killed After Crashing Into Tree In Willington A Connecticut man was killed when his car left the road and collided with a tree in Tolland County, authorities said. Paul Butcher, 80, of Taftville, was killed just before 12:30 p.m. when his car went off the side of Turnpike Road in Willington and hit a tree on the left shoulder of the road near Moose Meadow Road, Connecticut State Police said. Paramedics took Butcher to Rockville Hospital in Vernon, where doctors pronounced him dead. Police are investigating the crash.

4 Hurt In Brookfield Crash; Firefighters Cut 2 Victims From Mangled Wreckage Connecticut firefighters had to cut two people from a vehicle that crashed over the weekend with four people being hospitalized in the Fairfield County wreck, authorities said. The crash was reported around 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, near 119 Junction Road in Brookfield, fire officials said. Wanted Man Runs Away After Crashing Car With His Kids Inside In Bolton A Connecticut town was ordered to stay inside after a man wanted for questioning in an armed robbery crashed his car into a pole and ran away, leaving behind his two children and a woman in the vehicle in Tolland County, authorities said.
