Fire Goes Up At Condo Complex In Elmsford Firefighters battled an early morning blaze at a condominium complex in Westchester for hours.  The fire began at 118 Town Green Dr. in Elmsford on Wednesday, Jan. 8 around 6:15 a.m., according to the Irvington Fire Department, which helped respond to the incident.  Fire crews battled the two-alarm blaze for several hours.  More information about injuries and the cause was not immediately available. Road Reopens After Tree Falls On Wires In Yorktown: Power Still Being Restored Power had to be restored to dozens of residents after a tree fell and struck power lines at a Yorktown intersection.  The tree fell at the intersection of Mill Street and North Ridge Road in Yorktown, prompting a temporary road closure that ended by 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, according to Yorktown Police.  Since the road's reopening, according to Con Edison, over 40 residents have had their power restored.

Stuck Dog Pulled From Icy Pond At Country Club In Rye A dog stuck in an icy pond at a golf course in Westchester was rescued by firefighters in a dramatic rescue effort.  The incident happened on Monday, Jan. 6, around 9:30 a.m., when the Rye Fire Department responded to a call from The Apawamis Club about a dog trapped in the frozen pond off the 12th tee, Rye city officials said.  When rescue crews arrived, they used Locust Avenue to quickly access the pond.
