A 39-year-old Massachusetts man who was convicted of sexually assaulting a child younger than 14, among other charges, will spend decades behind bars, authorities said.
Michael Hiser, of Adams, was convicted of aggravated indecent assault and battery on a child, photographing an unsuspecting nude child, indecent exposure, and aggravated indecent assault on a child, the Berkshire County District Attorney's Office said. He was sentenced to up to 20 years in prison.

A familiar face from one of TV’s quirkiest sitcom families has died.
Anne Schedeen, best known for playing Kate Tanner on the NBC sitcom "ALF," died at age 77, her family announced Sunday, June 14, in a post on her Facebook page.
A cause of death was not publicly disclosed.
"We are bereft without her," her family wrote, also calling Schedeen "a force."
The family remembered her creative energy, humor, artwork, handmade jewelry, oil paintings, sculptures, costumes, and love of stories.
