Police ID Springfield Woman Killed In Hit-Run Crash Police have identified the 57-year-old woman who was killed on Monday, June 23, in Springfield after a car crashed into her.  Annabelle Rufino was walking at the intersection of Bay and Bowles Street around 10:30 p.m. when she was hit, Springfield police said.  Paramedics rushed the Springfield woman to Baystate Medical Center, where she died of her wounds.  Police say they have recovered the vehicle investigators say hit her, but it's unclear if police have made any arrests.  The crash remains under investigation.  Investigators urge anyone with information on t…

Allison Eichner, a U.S. citizen from Connecticut, died Wednesday, June 11, in a one-vehicle crash in the Causeway Road area of Bushmills, according to the Police Service of Northern Ireland. Police ID Man Hit, Killed In Western Mass Police have identified the 72-year-old man who was hit and killed walking along a street in Chicopee.  Edgar Francisco, of Chicopee, was hit around just after 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 23 in the 1500 block of Granby Road, authorities said on Wednesday, Feb. 26.  Paramedics rushed him to Baystate Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.  Chicopee police are investigating the crash.

Grafton Man Fatally Struck Walking On I-90; Police Close Lanes For Hours A 36-year-old Central Massachusetts man was hit and killed on I-90 in Worcester County this week, police said.  Jayson Bastarache, of Grafton, was struck on the eastbound lanes of the interstate near mile marker 98 around 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, Massachusetts State Police said.  Police listed Bastarache as a pedestrian, but a bicycle was found near the crash site and footprints nearby. Shopping Center Parking Lot A 77-year-old man was hit and killed walking through a Western Massachusetts shopping center parking lot this weekend.  The man, whose name was not released, was hit around 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Big Y Plaza on North King Street in Northampton, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said.  The driver remained at the scene.  The cause of the crash is under investigation. No charges have been filed in the case.

Woman Hit, Killed Walking In Springfield A woman was hit and killed on Monday morning, June 3, as she walked along a road in Springfield.  The crash was reported around 4:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Wilbraham Road, Springfield police said. The woman died at the scene. Her name was not released as police reached out to her next of kin.  The driver stayed at the scene and spoke with police, investigators said.  No charges have been filed, but police are investigating the cause of the fatal crash.  This is a developing story.
