Two 24-year-olds from New Jersey were killed after being struck by a subway train in Manhattan early Sunday morning, Sept. 13, authorities said.
According to the NY Post, video shows Navam Kaul, of Sayreville, and Malaika Chitre, of Dayton, sitting on the tracks moments before they were struck by the train just before 3:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13.

Paterson Moped Rider Tries To Flee, Stalls Out, Falls Off: Police
A Paterson man tried to speed away from police on an unregistered moped, only to stall out and fall off, authorities said.
Officers responding to reports of a large group at 540 E. 42nd Street in Paterson around 4:31 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, activated their lights, causing the group to disperse, Paterson Police Public Information Officer Robert Rowan said.
Officers spotted Carlos Almonte, 38, on an unregistered moped in the area and conducted a motor vehicle stop, Rowan said. Almonte tried to accelerate away but the moped stalled, causing him to fall off, Rowan said.

A 67-year-old driver was arrested after striking and injuring a police officer while passing barricades along the Dominican Parade route in Paterson on Sunday, Sept. 13, authorities said.
Officers were working the parade route at Park Avenue and East 22nd Street at approximately 1:40 p.m., when they saw a vehicle passing barricades, according to Paterson Police Public Information Officer Rob Rowan.
The vehicle struck an officer, fracturing his hand and causing other minor injuries, Rowan said.
