Nanuet Bank Robber Arrested Less Than 20 Minutes After Telling Teller He Had Gun: Cops
A 22-year-old man accused of robbing a Chase Bank in Rockland County after telling a teller he had a gun was arrested less than 20 minutes after fleeing, authorities said.
James L. Gordon, of Nanuet, is charged with first-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny, and third-degree menacing in connection with the Saturday, Sept. 12 incident, Clarkstown police said. Officers responded to the Chase Bank at 61 Smith St. in Nanuet around 11:05 a.m. on a report of a robbery, police said.

A mother has filed a lawsuit against a New Jersey borough, its police department, and one of its officers, claiming that her child suffered a serious burn after being placed on a hot police motorcycle during National Night Out in 2025 (see lawsuit attached at the bottom of this news article).
