A traffic stop in Poughkeepsie turned up a loaded handgun and numerous items containing suspected fentanyl, leading to three arrests, New York State Police said.
Members of the Troop K Community Stabilization Unit stopped a vehicle for traffic violations near North Hamilton Street at approximately 5:43 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, police said.
The driver was identified as Peter L. Nekos, 40, of West Hurley, while the passengers were Zaire J. Birks, 26, of Poughkeepsie, and Samantha N. O’Donnell, 27, of West Hurley, according to police.

Kenneth R. Moore, 66, of Pembroke, posted on Facebook at 9:39 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, that he was flying to Northampton for the Three County Fair.
