Eight New Jersey businesses have landed on the state's workplace accountability "wall," owing a combined $743,826.95 in unpaid wages, fines and penalties.
The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development added the eight businesses to its Workplace Accountability in Labor List, known as The WALL, in September, the agency announced Tuesday, Sept. 15. Ian Naveen Birla, a father of two and longtime finance executive who stepped away from his career to fight cancer, died Sunday, Sept. 7, according to his obituary from Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service. He was 53 years old.
