Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Coram Resident Intentionally Strikes Woman With Minivan In North Bellport, Police Say A Long Island resident has been accused of intentionally striking another woman with her vehicle. The incident happened around 3:40 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 in North Bellport. Following a dispute between the two in a parking lot, located at 1733 Montauk Highway, Philomena Mistretta, 51, of Coram, got into her 2004 Toyota Sienna and intentionally struck the woman with the minivan. Day Care Worker From Bohemia Accused Of Dragging, Hitting Children In East Patchogue A former childcare worker on Long Island has been accused of endangering the welfare of several young children. Following an investigation into separate incidents at the day care facility located on Montauk Highway in East Patchogue, Roshanne Marks, age 33, of Bohemia, was arrested, Suffolk County Police announced on Saturday, Oct. 26. According to police, Marks grabbed the arms and dragged two 3-year-old children and struck the back of the head of another 3-year-old. Man Forcibly Touches Girl, Attacks Officer At Broadway Mall In Hicksville A man has been apprehended after police say he forcibly touched a teenager and then attacked responding officers at a mall on Long Island. At around 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, Police responded to a disturbance at Broadway Mall in Hicksville after receiving reports of an intoxicated male being aggressive towards the public. Sag Harbor Woman Cleans Out Bank Account To Fraudster Posing As Federal Agent, Police Say A months-long investigation has led to the arrest of a man who authorities say impersonated a federal agent and used fear and intimidation to convince a Long Island victim to hand over money. On Friday, Oct. 25, the suspect, Om Parkash, age 31, of Queens, was charged with second-degree grand larceny (a Class C felony). Bay Shore Resident Seriously Injured In Overnight Islip Crash One person suffered severe injuries in an overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 9:50 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, in Islip. A 54-year-old Bay Shore man was crossing Brentwood Road at the intersection of Colorado Avenue, when he was struck by a northbound 2018 Hyundai Elantra. According to the National Weather Service, many parts of the region have seen just a quarter inch of rain so far this month. Denny's To Close 150 Restaurants Restaurant chain Denny's plans to shut down as many as 150 of its locations. The company said half of the underperforming outlets will close by the end of the calendar year and the others will go out of business in 2025. Specific restaurants slated for closure have not yet been announced. In announcing the move, Denny's said customers have been ordering from restaurants less often. Cold Front Will Bring Change In Weather Pattern: 5-Day Forecast A cold front that swept through the region overnight brought scattered sprinkles and will usher in a change in the weather pattern.
