During his time writing for newspapers, magazines, and online publications, he’s covered everything from murderers to mommy bloggers, but his most interesting story is always the next one.

Newly Minted Multi-Millionaire: Marlborough Man Wins $2M Jackpot A Marlborough man who won $2 million in the lottery says he knows how he'll spend the cash.  Leandro DeJesus, of Marlborough, won the jackpot playing the “$2,000,000 50X Cashword," a $10 scratch-off ticket.  DeJesus took the lump sum payment of $1.3 million (before taxes) rather than the annuity.  He said he would use the money to help his family and purchase a home.  DeJesus bought the winning ticket at Post Road Pantry Convenience at 21 Boston Post Road E. in Marlborough. The store will get a $20,000 bonus for the sale.

Murder-Suicide: Man Forces Way Into Ansonia Home To Shoot Ex-Wife, Kill Himself, Police Say Police believe that a 47-year-old Connecticut man forced his way into a New Haven County home on Thursday morning, Sept. 12, and fatally shot his ex-wife before he turned the gun on himself. New Haven resident Miguelina Lebron, age 45, of Ansonia, was found shot repeatedly at her home on Westfield Avenue, Ansonia police said. Shooting Threats Made Against Crosby High, Another School Shortly after police in Connecticut arrested a 15-year-old after accusing him of making a hoax shooting threat against a high school in New Haven County, officers received another message of violence, authorities said.  The teenager is accused of making a social media post around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, that claimed there would be a shooting at Crosby High School in Waterbury, police said.  The threat was determined to be a hoax, and authorities charged the 15-year-old with disturbing the peace in the second degree and second-degree threatening, Waterbury Police said.&…

Police Investigating 2 Suspicious Deaths In Ansonia Police in New Haven County say they found two dead bodies on Thursday morning, Sept. 12, and are searching for what killed them, authorities said.  Police in Ansonia were called to the 100 block of Westfield Ave., where the bodies were located. Officers do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the community.  Investigators have closed off a portion of Westfield Avenue from Jackson Street to Burton Street until they clear the crime scene.  This is a developing story.
