CT Farm Worker Killed By Machinery At Work; Osha Investigating A man was killed this week after he was hit by a piece of heavy machinery in Connecticut, authorities said.  The 68-year-old Springfield, Massachusetts, man was at Lindy Farms on Fletcher Road when a skid steer loader backed into him just after 11:15 a.m., Enfield Police said. Authorities believe he was bending over, and the driver could not see him. The man's name was not released.  The man worked at the farm, but in what capacity is unclear.  Police contacted investigators with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) who are not looking into the matter.&n…

Bryan Rodriguez, age 28, of Stratford, was killed around 7:13 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 11 in the area of Camfield Drive at Bloomfield Drive in Fairfield. Car Wash Employee Run Over By Customer In Greenwich A car wash employee suffered serious injuries after being run over by a customer in Fairfield County. The incident took place in Greenwich at the Splash Car Wash at 73 Post Road around 10:20 a.m., on Monday, July 10. An initial investigation determined that an employee of the car wash was struck by a vehicle exiting the wash. The vehicle then continued crossing Post Road where it collided with another vehicle's driver's side, said Lt. Patrick Smyth of the Greenwich Police. Worker Injured After Fall At Fairfield University A worker was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a fall at a Fairfield County university. The incident took place in Fairfield at Fairfield University around 7:15 a.m., Tuesday, May 31. The Fairfield emergency communications center received a call for a worker that had fallen through a roof on the Fairfield University campus, said the Fairfield Fire Department.
