Family and friends of Richard Dupont said he was walking home from work when an alleged drunk driver crashed into him and killed him. The 55-year-old Jewett City man was hit as he walked along River Road in Lisbon around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 14, Connecticut State Police said. Truck Barrels Through Convenience Store Sending Driver To Hospital
A truck crashed into a New Haven County convenience store Saturday morning, Oct. 19, sending the driver to the hospital, authorities said. The truck crashed through the glass front of the Patco store at 271 Foxon Road in North Branford around 11:30 a.m., police said. The driver was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital with minor injuries. Griswold Crash Leaves Massachusetts Trucker Dead
A 42-year-old Middlesex County, Massachusetts, man died after crashing his truck down an embankment along I-395 in Connecticut. Tim Murray, of Ashby, crashed his Freightliner truck in Griswold, New London County between Exit 24 and 28 around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8 Construction had closed the southbound right-hand lane of the highway. As Murray merged into the left lane, his 2019 Freightliner hit a guardrail. Murray corrected the truck but not before striking another section of the guardrail. The truck tumbled down an embankment. Two Injured In Connecticut Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer, Police Say
Two people suffered injuries in a crash in Connecticut that involved a tractor-trailer. The South Killingly Fire Department in Windham County reported that crews responded to the crash at 580 Providence Pike (Route 6) at about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. Two drivers were hospitalized after a three-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer on I-95 in Connecticut. The New Haven County crash happened in Milford at about 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, according to Connecticut State Police.
