1 Dead, 1 Detained Following Shooting In CT; State Police Investigating One person is dead, and another has been detained after an early-morning incident in Connecticut. Troopers responded to a home on South Road in Somers at about 4 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, after someone reported suspicious activity. Officers found a person suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The person died at the scene. State Police did not identify them.  Police also found a second person there.
