Dog Walker Approached By Coyote In New Canaan Park Police and animal control in Fairfield County are warning residents to be on the lookout for wild animals in parks and woods after a dog walker was approached by a coyote. The incident took place in New Canaan around 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, April 19 in the Jeniam Meadow at Waveny Park. According to New Canaan Animal Control Officer Allyson Halm, a woman was walking her dog when she noticed a coyote following them about two feet behind.
