CT Homeowner Scares Off Would-Be Burglar, Who Howls And Throws Chairs, Flower Pot: Police
A failed burglary took a bizarre turn over the weekend when the alleged intruder began howling and making squealing noises before throwing chairs at a homeowner who scared him away, authorities said.
Timothy Grigg, 54, faces multiple charges following the alleged Enfield home break-in on Sunday, Aug. 2, police said.
According to Enfield police, Grigg got into the home just before 6 a.m. through a rear hatchway, but he was stopped before he could get fully inside when the homeowner showed him a legally possessed firearm.

Authorities seized dozens of venomous snakes, including some that are endangered, from a Connecticut warehouse after a lengthy investigation into the illegal possession of dangerous reptiles.
Tyler Foster and Brian Roman, both 26 and of New Haven, turned themselves in to Connecticut State Police on Thursday, July 30, after a lengthy investigation.
Environmental Conservation Police searched a warehouse at 925 Sherman Ave. in Hamden last month. They seized 49 reptiles, including 46 venomous snakes, two anacondas, and one water monitor lizard.
