A devastating overnight crash left multiple people injured and shut down a stretch of Route 17.
The crash happened just before 2 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, near Exit 126, when at least two vehicles collided, incident reporter Mark Lieb of Rockland Video Productions said.
A Nissan Altima, badly damaged and partially covered with a white sheet, was spotted in the center of the westbound lanes. A second vehicle was overturned on the shoulder, surrounded by firefighters and EMS personnel, Lieb said. One of the vehicles reportedly caught fire, police said.
