CT Man Seriously Injured In Targeted Late-Night Stabbing; Police Hunting Suspect A late-night stabbing left a 44-year-old Connecticut man hospitalized with significant injuries in what authorities believe was a targeted attack. Police were called to a house in the 100 block of Powhattan Street in Putnam around 3 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6. Officers found the victim conscious but in severe pain after being stabbed with an "edged instrument," officials said. CT US Marine, 68, ID'd As Victim Killed By Car While Walking On Highway Authorities have identified the pedestrian killed while walking along Route 44 this weekend as 68-year-old Leo Blain of Putnam, Connecticut. Blain was struck by a Ford Fusion around 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23, according to Connecticut State Police. Paramedics transported him to Day Kimball Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
