Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

New Tropical Storm Milton Takes Aim At US Coast: Here's Projected Track, Timing For Landfall A newly named tropical storm is on a projected path toward the US coast. Just before 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, Tropical Depression 14 was upgraded to Tropical Storm Milton. Located in the Gulf Coast, it's expected to strengthen and "bring the risk of life-threatening impacts to the west coast of Florida next week," according to the National Hurricane Center. The current projected landfall is Wednesday morning, Oct. 9 on Florida's Big Bend. (See the image above.) 14-Year-Old Severely Injured In Merrick Crash A teenage suffered critical injuries in an overnight Long Island crash. It happened on Friday, Oct. 4, at 9:40 p.m. in Merrick, according to Nassau County Police. A 41-year-old man operating a 2023 Ford pickup truck traveling westbound on Sunrise Highway (Route 27) was involved in a collision with a 14-year-old boy riding a bicycle northbound on Merrick Avenue.   The boy suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local area hospital for treatment.
