Drones To Fly Over Southeast: Here's When, Where Drones will soon be sighted above a Hudson Valley town—these are supposed to be there, though, according to authorities.  Beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 14, the Department of Environmental Protection will be flying drones over the Putnam County town of Southeast, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office announced.  The drones will fly over the East Branch Dam near Sodom Road and Route 22, the Sheriff's Office said.  This activity will continue throughout the week. Fight With Metal Pipe Leads To Injuries In Mount Vernon: Officials A brawl between multiple people involving a metal pipe led to injuries in Westchester, officials announced. The incident happened in Mount Vernon on Monday, Jan. 13 in the area of 100 North Columbus Ave., where multiple people were involved in a dispute, according to Mount Vernon Director of Communications Timothy Allen. Those involved suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Allen said. Although the incident was believed to be a stabbing at first, no one was stabbed, he added.  More information about the incident has not been released.

Electrical Short Shuts Down School In Yonkers For Day, Prompts Evacuation A school in Westchester is holding remote classes following an electrical issue that prompted a response from firefighters. The incident happened on Monday afternoon, Jan. 13 at the Andalusia School in Yonkers at 380 Walnut St., according to Yonkers Deputy Fire Chief of Personnel Joseph Citrone.  Citrone said an electrical short occurred at the building, which caused smoke and blew out some panels and breakers.
