'She Was Full Of Dreams': 18-Year-Old Dies After CT Nightclub Shooting; 2nd Person Killed An 18-year-old woman who was shot outside a Connecticut nightclub over the weekend has died, police said Tuesday, July 7. Zaniya Dawkins was one of two people shot outside LA 42 Night Club on East Main Street in Waterbury just after midnight Sunday, July 6, authorities said. She had just turned 18 two weeks before her death. The Waterbury teenager and Trey-Von Dunbar, 22, were both gravely wounded in the shooting. Paramedics rushed them to area hospitals, where Dunbar died soon after.
