Norwalk Woman Busted For Alleged DUI In Wilton, Police Say
A Fairfield County woman driving a 2020 Porsche Cayenne was busted for alleged DUI during a routine traffic stop. Monica Duchhi, age 36, of Norwalk, was arrested on Sunday, Aug. 11, on Danbury Road in Wilton. According to Lt. Anna Tornello of the Wilton Police said Duchhi failed a series of field sobriety tests after admitting to officers she had been drinking. Duchi was placed under arrest for DUI and refused to submit to chemical testing, Tornello said. She was charged with DUI and failure to drive in the proper lane. A man who was wanted for allegedly attempting to make a fraudulent bank transaction in Fairfield County turned himself in to the police. Steven Guardindo, age 56, of Wilmington, North Carolina, was arrested on July 11 by Darien Police for the March 2023 incident. According to Darien Police Sgt. Mauricio Vigil, officers responded to the Fairfield Country Bank in Darien for a report of a man attempting to make a fraudulent transaction using a fake passport. An 18-year-old has been charged in connection with three armed carjackings in Fairfield County of high-end vehicles earlier this year. On Tuesday, June 18, the Stamford Police Department Major Crimes Unit concluded its investigation into New Haven County resident Tyssan Woods of Waterbury for his involvement in three carjackings that occurred during the early mornings of Tuesday, March 26, and Thursday, March 28, in Stamford. A Fairfield County man was charged with possession of child pornography after police received a cyber tip. Robert Hahn, age unknown, of Weston, turned himself in on Tuesday, June 11, on a warrant following a two-month investigation. According to Weston Police, in April, the department received a federal cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children through the Connecticut State Police.
