Knifepoint Robbery at Norwich Store: Police Release Suspect Photo, Seek Tips Police are searching for a knife-wielding woman who authorities say robbed a convenience store earlier this week. Police are asking for the public’s help after an armed robbery at the RK Food Mart on Boswell Avenue in Norwich. Authorities say the incident happened around 2:22 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, when a woman walked into the store armed with a knife and demanded cash. The store clerk described the robber as a light-skinned Hispanic or Black woman, police said. The cashier complied, and the suspect fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash. Man Shot After Gunman Fires Wildly In Norwich Neighborhood, Hitting Home, Car A Connecticut man was shot in the upper body Sunday night, Oct. 6, after someone wildly fired a gun in a New London County neighborhood, shooting a house and a car in the process, authorities said.  Police were called to McKinley Avenue near Warren Street in Norwich around 8 p.m., authorities said.  When Norwich Police arrived at the scene, they found the man with a bullet wound, the damaged property, and evidence someone had fired several shots. Schools Placed On Lockdown After 16-Year-Old Hit By Gunfire In Drive-By CT Shooting Schools were placed on a lockdown after a 16-year-old was found shot on a street in Connecticut, the victim of a drive-by shooting. The incident took place in New Haven around 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 8 in the parking lot of St. Martins Townhouses on Goffe Street. Police received a call regarding a person shot on Goffe Street, between Orchard Street and Winter Street. Responding officers located a 16-year-old male who had been struck by gunfire, said Officer Scott Shumway, of the New Haven Police Department.
