CT Teen Robbed Of Dirt Bike At Gunpoint Along Rails To Trails Path: Cops A 14-year-old Trumbull teen was robbed at gunpoint on New Year's Eve while riding his dirt bike on the Rails to Trails path, authorities said.  Giovanni DeJesus, 19, of Bridgeport, was arrested shortly after the incident, recovering the stolen bike and an illegal firearm, Bridgeport police said.  The robbery occurred around 5 p.m. near the pump station between White Plains Road and Quarry Road. CT Woman, Dog Swept Away By Flood Waters Rescued By Police, Fire A Fairfield County woman became stuck in the raging river after she went in to save her dog and had to be rescued by police and fire personnel. The incident occurred in Trumbull around 10:15 a.m., Monday, Aug. 19, when her dog was swept away in the Pequonnock River. Trumbull Police rushed to the scene after receiving a 911 call that the Trumbull resident was on the phone with her friend when her dog went into the river and got swept away, the department said. ID Released For Man Who Disappeared In Waters Off Fairfield Coast Police have identified a man who disappeared in the waters off the Connecticut coast. The incident occurred in Fairfield around 12:10 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 3, near Lighthouse Point and Penfield Reef. According to Sgt. Michael Stahl of the Fairfield Police Department, a 911 call was received about two individuals struggling in the water near Lighthouse Point and Penfield Reef.  Stahl said several nearby bystanders assisted in rescuing one of the men.
