A short hop through the Midwest turned into a midair security scare.
United Airlines Flight 2005, traveling from Chicago O’Hare International Airport to Minneapolis, diverted to Dane County Regional Airport in Madison, Wisconsin, late Friday, May 29, after an unruly passenger caused a security concern, according to a statement by the FAA.
The passenger allegedly tried to breach the cockpit shortly after takeoff, prompting pilots to divert the plane, ABC affiliate WISN-TV Channel 12 in Milwaukee reported.
