Josh Lanier started his reporting career in high school for his local newspaper. Many — many — years later, he’s still chasing leads for compelling stories. During his time writing for newspapers, magazines, and online publications, he’s covered everything from murderers to mommy bloggers, but his most interesting story is always the next one.

Josh is a native of Charlotte, NC, where he is a member of a sketch comedy group in his spare time.

Perfection: Greenwich High Freshman Cross Country Team Finishes Dominant Season Of Big Wins The Greenwich High School boys freshman squad ran through their competition in every meet this year and capped off the regular season with a commanding win in the Hatters Freshman Championship. The event, held at scenic Tarrywile Park in Danbury, saw Greenwich crush the competition with a near-perfect score of 18, leaving rivals Staples High School and Trumbull far behind with 37 and 77 points, respectively. Students Sent Home After Police Find Fentanyl In CT High School Bathroom Students at a Connecticut high school were sent home early on Friday, Nov. 15, after police found fentanyl on the bathroom floor, authorities said. 37-Year-Old Killed On I-95 After Crashing Into Construction Equipment: Police A 37-year-old man was killed earlier this week after his car went off I-95 north in New London County and slammed into some heavy construction equipment, authorities said. Paul Bigos, of Dighton, Massachusetts, was killed just after 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, between exits 88 and 89 in Groton, Connecticut State Police said.
