Turtle Abuse In New York Draws Outrage, Animal Was Left To Die In Cage
A turtle was brutally abused and left to die on Long Island until it was rescued by a local animal agency, officials said. The turtle was trapped inside a cage that had been secured with zip ties and submerged underwater at Geiger Park in Deer Park, the Suffolk County SPCA said Friday, Aug. 28.
