34-Year-Old Seriously Injured In Crash After Eluding Cops In Colchester: Police
A motorist suffered serious injuries in a crash after eluding police in Connecticut. Connecticut State Police said the incident occurred in New London County at about 7:40 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, in Colchester. Tolland County resident David Justin Carnein, age 34, of the town of Tolland, was riding a 2001 Triumph motorcycle recklessly on Lebanon Avenue. Police had previously attempted to stop Carnein, but he fled at a high speed, said state police. Man Raped Woman In Middle Of Birthday Party: Police
A 42-year-old Massachusetts man is accused of plying a woman with alcohol at a Connecticut party before he forcibly raped her in a hot tub during a friend's birthday party, authorities said. Luis Alberto Elicier, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was charged with first-degree sexual assault and first-degree unlawful restraint, Connecticut State Police said. Street Racers May Have Caused I-84 Multi-Car Crash, Police Say
Connecticut State Police report a multi-vehicle crash on I-84 was likely caused by street racers. The crash occurred around 10 p.m., Monday, July 1, on I-84 between Exits 68 and 69 in Tolland. According to State Police, responding troopers located an extensive debris field and one vehicle that had rolled during the crash. State Police said troopers investigating the crash believe the crash was caused by several vehicles "driving recklessly" and also "slow rolling the highway" before racing each other.
