Hit-Run Driver, 18, Arrested In Deadly CT Pedestrian Crash: Police An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed one pedestrian and injured another in New Britain last December, authorities said. Charlie Rodriguez surrendered to New Britain Police Headquarters on Thursday, Feb. 6, where he was processed without incident, New Britain spokesperson Rachel Zaniewski said. Rodriguez is accused of fleeing the scene after striking two pedestrians near 237 Broad Street on Dec. 9, 2024, police said. One victim died, and the other was injured, officials said. 59-Year-Old Woman Hit, Killed By Car On CT Highway ID'd Authorities have identified the 59-year-old Connecticut woman killed over the weekend after a car crashed into her.  Bisera Djurkovic, of Rocky Hill, was hit around 5:20 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, in the area of 1864 Silas Deane Highway in Rocky Hill, authorities said.  Paramedics rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she died of her injuries, Rocky Hill police said.  The driver was not hurt.
