David Dionne, 40, was arrested after police identified him through surveillance footage from areas where four large swastikas were found on Feb. 21 in Norwich’s west end, authorities said.

Investigators believe the Norwich man is solely responsible for the vandalism.

The largest of the four swastikas was found at the intersection of Old Salem Road and Route 82, with President Donald Trump's name written beneath it.

Norwich police arrested Dionne on Tuesday morning, March 4, without incident. He is charged with breach of peace and two counts of criminal mischief, authorities said. Officials did not provide any bond information.

Investigators ask anyone with information about the incident to contact the Norwich Police Department at 860-886-5561.
